Cognitive behavioral therapy (cbt)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a branch of psychotherapy that creates solutions and helps one find happiness by reshaping dysfunctional emotions, behaviors, and thoughts. Unlike traditional pyschotherapy which unpacks your childhood to get to the root of conflict, CBT targets solutions, encouraging clients to challenge distorted cognitions and change destructive patterns of behavior.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a cognitive behavioral treatment that trains clients to use new skills and techniques to develop new coping methods and ultimately find happiness and worth. DBT strategies include mindfulness exercises, emotional regulation, distress tolerance to cope in a crisis or long/short term physical or emotional pain, and interpersonal effectiveness to support relationship building and balancing priorities in a variety of realms.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment created to mitigate the distress associated with traumatic memories. After successful treatment with EMDR, distress is alleviated, negative beliefs are reformulated, and physiological incitement is diminished.
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), also known as Tapping, is a therapy treatment based on the combined principles of ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology. Tapping with the fingertips on specific meridian points on the body, while focusing on negative emotions or physical sensations, helps to calm the nervous system, rewire the brain to respond in healthier ways, and repair the energy balance in the body.
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
Trauma Focused Behavior Therapy is a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that addresses the specific mental health and emotional health needs of clients struggling to overcome the harmful effects of trauma. TF-CBT is particularly geared towards youth and adolescents suffering from post traumatic stress or mood disorders as a result of abuse, violence or grieving.
